Working at RHS Chelsea 2017

Published: 23rd May 2017

It was a great experience working at RHS Chelsea this year, planting out the ‘Mind Trap’ Fresh Garden for designer Ian Price, which was awarded a Gold Medal.

The garden is a physical manifestation of Ian’s personal experience of suffering from, and living with, depression. Its purpose is to help those who suffer in similar ways to be reassured that they are not alone. The garden endeavours to also explain to those who have no personal experience of suffering from depression what it may feel like, by way of a tangible living garden.

Sponsored by idverde Europe’s leading green services provider, and built by Conway Landscapes, with a team of additional volunteers of friends and students, it was a brilliant week and we were all thrilled with the Gold Medal success. Direct links and more information on the garden can be found on the following websites: http://www.ianpricedesign.com  https://www.idverde.co.uk/mind-trap/
