The Open Gardens are popping up all around this summer supporting different charities. Locally the James’s opened their ‘Self Sufficiency Garden’ in aid of ‘Music for Everyone’ on Midsummers Afternoon. They describe their garden's characteristics as a mixture of semi formal layout and informal planting, whilst striving for self sufficiency and sustainable living. What a treat to see such a well organised garden providing so much pleasure and produce, and obviously a lot of hard work had gone into the event with helpful signs, delicious tea and not a weed in sight!
